Artist’s statement
The recurrent theme in my work is the ocean. The subject matter itself has been painted, written about, and expressed forevermore, almost to the point of becoming a lost pattern on the wall. Yet every time I am confronted with the vastness and conjuring presence of this gargantuan mass over the horizon, I see myself as If I were seeing it all for the first time. I keep coming back over and over, a refreshing obsession, in a life long journey trying to make sense of it all.
I have been a fine art photographer for over 25 years. My passion for photography began in high school and I went on to study photojournalism at the University of Miami in Florida. Growing up in New York City and Long island, I have always been attracted to nature and the out doors. I focus primarily on landscapes and ocean views but my work also includes portraits and still-lives.
Adriana’s photographs have been exhibited in the United States, Europe and South America.
